Dr. Suskind has a unique combination of legal and corporate R&D management experience offering practical advice and service to clients on intellectual property matters. His practice includes patent preparation and prosecution, reexaminations, claim interpretation and designing around valid U.S. patents. His areas of technical focus are chemicals, polymers, pharmaceuticals, biochemistry, textiles and paper technologies.
Dr. Suskind has managed a portfolio of patent cases for Pfizer, has served as an expert witness and member of a litigation team in a major infringement matter and has also taken a critical role in designing around adversely held patents. Dr. Suskind has served both on the staff of prominent law firms and in- house for Pfizer. As Research Director at Baxter in the field of medical devices, he led a team to major award-winning accomplishments. He has over 20 patents of his own and has worked closely with individual scientists in the development and patenting of new technologies.
